The Lagos Division of the Appeal Court has discharged and acquitted Mustapha has been standing trial since 1999 for allegedly masterminding the assassination of Late Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, wife of presumed winner of the 1993 Presidential election, Chief M.K.O. Abiola.
Major Hamza Al- Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer to the Late Head of State, Mohammed Abacha of the conspiracy and murder charges against him.
